WHAT IS A PROXIMITY DETECTION SYSTEM (PDS)?
A PDS protects workers by utilizing "Tag" devices on vehicles and on pedestrians that work near each other. Each Tag creates a detection zone which results in audible, visual or vibration alarms when vehicles and pedestrians are in close proximity.
Special Tags can be used to alert for proximity at blind corners, doorways and openings. Automatic triggering of motorized doors and gates is also possible with this system.
